AirArts is a privately held corporation based in Reston, Virginia - a suburb of Washington D.C. AirArts was founded in 2007 by industry veterans in mobile communications with a view to develop easy to use information and communication products.
Ven Chava, CEO, Co-Founder
Ven has the unique combination of creative technical vision and ability to execute flawlessly. Ven is the inventor and lead architect behind AirArts' pioneering TalkingTag product line. As the chief technologist at InphoMatch (now Sybase 365), Ven created a messaging platform that generated billions of dollars of revenue for US carriers. Recently Ven served as Director of Network Strategy at Sprint and Director of Applications at Nextel, where he pioneered development of advanced mobile data services and smartphone software generating industry leading data ARPU for Nextel. Previously, while Director of software at SkyBitz, he architected their satellite asset tracking system. With over 20+ years' experience in wireless, telecom, satellite and software, Ven holds more than 5 patents, and is a recognized authority on Mobile Internet, Mobile Applications, IMS services, 3G and 4G networks.
William Bachrach, Executive Vice President, Business Dev. & Sales
Bill has a wealth of experience in leadership roles with start-up and turn-around companies as well as with long-established corporations competing in varied technology environments. His strengths are in providing strong and effective leadership by concentrating on people, plans, and processes that lead to organizations that are fast, focused, and flexible. From 2005 to 2009, Bill was the Vice President and General Manager of C&D Technologies-Power Electronics Division where he integrated and stabilized a global electronics company and then successfully led the sale of this business unit to Murata Manufacturing Company for $85M. In 2000, Bill co-founded the largest US wireless text messaging company and in 2004, this company merged with MobileWay and was renamed Mobile 365. This company was sold to Sybase for $410M in 2006. Over his career, Bill has held other executive positions as Vice President and CTO of KEMET Electronics Corporation and General Manager of WAY Systems.
Prasad Ravva, Director, Software Development, Co-Founder
Prasad Ravva is responsible for developing and supporting AirArts technology solutions and capabilities. Mr. Ravva brings in 15 years of software development and managerial experience in Information Technology area. Prior to his role at AirArts, Prasad has worked on a number of projects at Merrill Lynch, Standard & Poor’s and Prudential Financials.
Sonia Vahedian, Vice President, Operations
Vahedian brings nearly 20 years of experience in business, operations and technology leadership to her role as VP of operations at AirArts. Before coming to the company, Vahedian was VP of Operations at Hook Mobile, and prior to that she served as VP of Engineering Services for Mobile 365, a global company for which she helped build a sophisticated organizational structure and cutting-edge technology infrastructure - building and managing data center operations in Asia, Europe and the U.S. Vahedian also worked with LogicTier Inc. and DataZen Corp. where she managed project budgets, planning and allocating resources, coordinating requirements analysis and prototype development, and vendor management. Her professional career began in the Energy industry with BP Amoco, Statoil Energy, and KN Energy where she held a variety of technical positions. Vahedian holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Chemical Engineering & Material Science from the University of Oklahoma.
Mary Foltz, Marketing Advisor, Co-Founder
Mary is passionate about commercializing new technologies that save people time and money, and improve their lives. With 10 years experience in data communications and 15 years in wireless, Mary is a seasoned professional in new product development, marketing, business and channel development. Recently, as Director, Business Solutions Product Management at Sprint Nextel, Mary created a portfolio of services with the highest revenue and retention rates in the industry, including the award winning GPS Location Based Services (43% market share in 2006, NPD Group).
